Healing with Goddess Thitis

Greetings,

I have already spoken in one other post about the nine sisters, who are described in a book of Kathy Jones Re-Membering the Nine Morgens: the Nine Sisters of Avalon.

In her interview Kathy she is telling us, that the sisterhood of nine exists also in other traditions around Europe and world. If you know something about it please share. Here is link to the interview:

Ninefold Sisterhood of the Morgens, whose names were recorded by the Welsh poet Taliesin in Geoffrey of Monmouth's 12th Century Vita Merlini are: Moronoe, Mazoe, Glitonea, Gliten, Cliton, Tyronoe, Thitis, Thetis and Morgen la Fey.

I would call them goddesses. They represent different goddess archetypes and are closely related to the nature and her cycles.

If you look into wikipedia , you will find that Morgens are Welsh and Bretonwater spirits and mermaids : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgen_(mythological_creature)

I would like to present you Thitis. As we are entering the spring time in northern hemisphere and are in a period of maiden and also Pisces, Thitis rules over the time we celebrate Imbolc.

When Kathy was asked about the praxis we could do in this time of coming spring, she began to answer that each Morgen speaks in the book. The Morgen of this season, she is called Thitis.

Goddess Thitis speaks:

"I am Thitis from Avalon, Maiden Morgen of Imbolc. I am the beginning. I am all that's new. I am the first spark of the return to Light after the experiences of my sister Morgen Tyronoe with winter. I am the day break and the dawning of Light over the summerlands, each new day filled with potential for life. I am spinner of the raw energy of the thread of life in Avalon. I am young. I am the girl child. I am naturally beautiful. I am filled with innocence, purety and joy. I like to play, to jump about, to whisper, just sing and shout and to giggle."

So the first practice, says Kathy Jones, is really to remember the child in you. Especially at the day break, to wake up and to be filled with happiness that the dawn is coming. To find ways to play as a child, to run and jump and skip, to remember what is to be alive, no matter how old you are, how tired you are. To remember the child who is in you. And also to think all the wounds to that child, to her innocence and her joy, to all places in your way, where you've lost that joy. To create an altar to Thitis, that is made of natural things, the new plants, the new flowers, anything that represent that child in you and the happiness in you and in the world around you. And then to offer to Thitis, to call Thitis into that altar and offer to her the wounds from your own childhood.

That's a good practice, concluded Kathy.

I must say that this practice, even if it was presented to me only through her speaking in interview and me writing this down to be later conveyed to you in this post, nevertheless it had a deep impact on me and my childhood wounds have begun to come to the surface next day during one other practice. This is a true proof for me that Thitis was present with me, she came into my life to heal my childhood wounds. These are wounds which we care inside of us and are usually not aware of them. These are wounds made by all kind of control which was constantly imposed on us in our childhood, that suffocated all our play, sense of excitement, wonder and spirit of exploration. It doesn't allowed us being natural, true us.

So call upon Thitis, make her an altar, surrender her your childhood wounds and ask her for healing. I'm sure she will help you as she helped me.
